ClimateClever, an app developed by Curtin University in 2019 that helps communities save money and the planet is growing in popularity with many local governments across WA at the moment.
I am very excited to announce that thanks to a new partnership between the City of Karratha and ClimateClever, all schools and residents can now access a 50% discount on the app and start boosting savings on utility bills along with minimizing waste and consumption.
The ClimateClever app works by allowing schools and residents to actively monitor their electricity and water usage directly from their phone or tablet and implement changes to reduce consumption, waste and also save money on utility bills.
The discount is not only available to residents but also to schools, providing educational tools for children to learn about sustainability and the environment while also saving on utility costs. As part of a separate arrangement with Horizon Power and Rio Tinto, all schools will be able to access the ClimateClever app free of charge for 12-months.
As a progressive local government we are always looking for ways to demonstrate leadership in the area of sustainability and climate action and this new partnership is a great way to do that while putting control in your hands.
If you would like to sign up to the app or would like more information, head to the City of Karratha or ClimateClever website.
